Consent Orders & Children's Issues

A Consent Order is a legally binding set of Orders which are first agreed on by both parties. A Consent Order can be made in relation to children and/or property. It specifies how much time each parent will spend with their child or how assets will be split. The agreement must be legally binding in order for the Court to enforce any aspects of the document.

Consent Orders are the ideal solution for resolving family matters outside of a Court which lessens the administrative burden and helps you save on legal costs. Consent Orders can be agreed upon outside of the Court and simply need to be filed and sealed by the Court to be effective.
